『Mt.kanpu Ryuge-temple ①』

I recently had the opportunity to cover Ryuge-Temple, a Nichiren Shu temple founded in the early Edo period.

The temple is famous for its 1,100-year-old sycamore tree and its pond garden called Kanpu-en, which was created in the Edo period.
I thought about whether to go through the Kaiun Gate or the gate for preventing bad luck, but I went through the Kaiun Gate. There is a beautiful garden.
Go through the gate and ask for Goshuin stamp at the worship reception on the left.
(In Nichiren Buddhism, this is called a ‘Goshuji’.
Goshuin stamp is a red ink stamp that you can receive as proof of your visit to a temple or shrine.
At this time of year, it was season for moon viewing.
The design is of a very cute rabbit making rice cakes.
Bring a Goshuin book with you when you visit the temple or shrines.
You could choose it from temples and shrines that sell original books,
You can also buy your favourite design online in advance.

Each temple or shrine you visit has a different red seal design for each season.
Red seals are also an artistic pleasure.
